Gear Progression: Smithing, Socketing, and Repair Stations
The Three Core Stations
Your gear workflow runs through three blocks:
Smithing Station— handlesmmorpg:smithing_shapelessrecipes, used to upgrade or transform equipment.Socketing Station— opens sockets on gear so you can insert gems and runes.Gear Repair Station— restores durability on damaged armor and weapons.
Place all three near your main crafting area so you can move gear between them without walking.
Socketing Gems and Runes
Open the Socketing Station with a piece of gear. If the item has no sockets, use Currency/Clear Sockets to reset the socket layout, then add sockets through the station. Insert Backpack/Upgrade/Gem1 and Backpack/Upgrade/Rune2 items into the opened slots. Runes and gems grant stat bonuses that scale with gear tier.
Repairing and Modifying
Use the Gear Repair Station whenever durability drops. It consumes materials but preserves enchantments and sockets. The Gear Modify Station lets you reroll or adjust modifiers on a piece. Pair it with Currency/Number Reroll to change numeric rolls and Currency/Orb Of Transmutation to shift the item's rarity or properties.
Armor Tiers
Armor comes in three material families, each with five tiers (0–4):
Armor/Cloth/...— lightest, lowest defenseArmor/Leather/...— balancedArmor/Plate/...— heaviest, highest defense
Each family has Helmet, Chest, Pants, and Boots slots. Upgrade tier by tier as you gather better materials.
