Enhance Bloom and Light Source Glow
Locating Bloom Controls
Open the shader settings menu and find the bloom or glow section. This controls how bright light sources like torches, lava, fire, and sunbeams spread luminous halos around themselves.
Increasing Bloom Intensity
Raise the bloom strength slider to make light sources glow more prominently. This creates a more atmospheric, cinematic look—especially noticeable at night when torches and lanterns cast warm halos. Higher values make the effect more dramatic.
Adjust bloom radius or spread if available. A larger radius spreads the glow further, creating softer, more diffuse light. A smaller radius keeps glow tighter around the source.
Balancing Visual Appeal and Performance
Be cautious with extreme bloom values—excessive glow can wash out details and reduce performance. Start with moderate increases and observe how your base or structures look at night.
Test in different lighting conditions: bright daylight, sunset, and complete darkness. Bloom should enhance atmosphere without obscuring visibility or making the world look washed out. Save settings once you achieve your desired aesthetic.
