Crafting the Dragon Saddle

The Dragon Saddle is made with a shaped crafting recipe. Place the required materials on a crafting table in the correct pattern to produce it. Once crafted, keep it in your inventory until you find a dragon to ride.

Using the Dragon Saddle

Approach a dragon and use the Dragon Saddle on it to equip it. After the saddle is equipped, you can mount the dragon and control its movement. The Dragon Saddle is the only item in AdventureZ that lets you ride a dragon, so craft it before attempting to tame or mount one.

If you lose your Dragon Saddle, you will need to gather the materials again and craft a new one. There is no other recipe that produces it, and it cannot be found in loot chests based on the available recipes.

While riding, you may want to wear Gilded Netherite Boots, Gilded Netherite Leggings, Gilded Netherite Chestplate, and Gilded Netherite Helmet for protection. These are made using the smithing_transform recipe with a Smithing Template. The Smithing Template is required for each piece, so collect enough templates before starting.

For ranged attacks while mounted, craft Ivory Arrows using the crafting recipe. Ivory Arrows can be fired from a bow and are useful for hitting targets from dragonback.
