Smelting, Blasting, and Cooking with Mod Blocks
Pick the Right Furnace Type
The mod registers four heat-based recipe types: smelting (66 recipes), blasting (32), smoking (25), and campfire_cooking (25). The same input can produce different results depending on which station you use, so match the station to the recipe you want.
Running Each Station
For smelting, use a standard furnace and place the input in the top slot with fuel below. Blasting uses a blast furnace and is the faster route for ores and metals — if a smelting recipe has a blasting counterpart, prefer blasting to save fuel and time. Smoking uses a smoker and handles food. Campfire cooking uses a campfire and needs no fuel at all, which makes it the cheapest option for cooking food in the field.
Useful Conversions
Abyssal Stone can be smelted or blasted into Abyssal Glass, giving you a transparent building block from raw terrain. Use blasting for that conversion to halve the processing time. For food, campfire_cooking and smoking both work, but smoking is faster while campfire cooking costs nothing to run. Keep a furnace, blast furnace, smoker, and campfire at your base so you never have to travel to process a drop.
