How to Get Started with Advanced Rocketry

First Steps

Begin by crafting the basic machines needed to process materials. You will need a Rolling Machine to shape metal plates and a Lathe to turn ingots into rods. These are the foundation for every later component.

Power generation comes next. Build a Coal Generator or Solar Panel and connect it to your machines using Power Cables. Without a steady power supply, nothing will run.

Building Your First Rocket

Once you have plates and rods, craft a Rocket Assembling Machine. Place it down and right-click to open its interface. Insert the required materials for a Tier 1 Rocket — typically Rocket Fins, a Rocket Engine, and a Guidance Computer.

After the rocket is assembled, craft a Launch Pad and place the rocket on top. Build a Rocket Monitoring Station nearby to control launches. You will also need a Space Suit and Oxygen Tank to survive in space.

Fuel your rocket with Rocket Fuel produced in a Fuel Refinery. Once fueled and with a destination selected in the monitoring station, press the launch button. Your first trip should target the Moon, where you can mine Moon Turf and Moon Rock for advanced materials.
