How to Use Smithing Tables and Crafting Recipes for Advanced Netherite

Smithing Table Recipes

The bulk of Advanced Netherite content uses smithing_transform recipes. Open a smithing table and place a Netherite Ingot, the tier material (Diamond, Emerald, Iron, or Gold), and the base item. The table outputs the matching Netherite-tier item.

Use this for every piece of gear: Netherite-Diamond Helmet, Netherite-Emerald Chestplate, Netherite-Iron Leggings, Netherite-Gold Boots, and every tool, weapon, and spear in each tier. The pattern is consistent, so once you learn one recipe you can run the rest without checking a reference.

Crafting Table Recipes

Crafting_shaped recipes handle block compression. Nine ingots of a single tier combine into the matching block: Block of Netherite-Diamond, Block of Netherite-Emerald, Block of Netherite-Iron, or Block of Netherite-Gold.

Crafting_shapeless recipes handle the reverse — splitting a block back into nine ingots. Use these when you have stored ingots as blocks and need loose ingots for smithing.

Workflow Tips

Set up a smithing table next to a crafting table and a chest holding Netherite Ingots plus Diamond, Emerald, Iron, and Gold. Run smithing recipes for gear, then use the crafting table to compress leftover ingots into blocks. This keeps your station ready for any tier without running back and forth.
