How to Repair Advanced Netherite Gear

Advanced Netherite tools, weapons, and armor are repaired the same way as their vanilla counterparts: combine the damaged item with its repair material on an anvil. For Netherite-Diamond gear, the repair material is the Netherite-Diamond Ingot. For Netherite-Emerald gear, use a Netherite-Emerald Ingot; for Netherite-Gold gear, a Netherite-Gold Ingot; for Netherite-Iron gear, a Netherite-Iron Ingot.

Match the tier exactly

Do not mix tiers on the anvil. A Netherite-Diamond Pickaxe needs Netherite-Diamond Ingots, not plain Netherite Ingots and not a different tier's ingot. If the anvil refuses the combination, you have the wrong ingot for that piece.

Keep repair stock on hand

Because every repair consumes an upgraded ingot, keep a small reserve of each tier you actively use. Store them next to your anvil so a damaged Chestplate or Pickaxe can be topped up without a trip back to your main storage.

Decide repair versus replace

An anvil repair costs ingots and levels. If a piece is nearly broken and you have spare ingots, repairing is usually cheaper than crafting a fresh tool from scratch. If you are low on ingots, craft a replacement only when the current piece actually breaks, and save the ingots for your most-used gear.
