How to Craft Blocks of Netherite-Diamond and Other Storage Blocks

Why craft the blocks

Block of Netherite-Diamond, Block of Netherite-Emerald, Block of Netherite-Gold, and Block of Netherite-Iron are compact storage for your upgraded ingots. They let you bank large amounts of material in a single inventory slot instead of carrying stacks of loose ingots.

Craft the block

Each block is made from its matching ingot. Use Netherite-Diamond Ingots to craft a Block of Netherite-Diamond, Netherite-Emerald Ingots for a Block of Netherite-Emerald, Netherite-Gold Ingots for a Block of Netherite-Gold, and Netherite-Iron Ingots for a Block of Netherite-Iron. The crafting recipe is the standard 3x3 block compression pattern for the ingot type.

Unpack when needed

Blocks are reversible through crafting_shapeless recipes. Put a Block of Netherite-Diamond back on the crafting grid to break it into Netherite-Diamond Ingots again. The same unpacking works for the Emerald, Gold, and Iron blocks. This means storing as blocks costs you nothing in flexibility.

Use blocks as a bank

Keep your surplus in block form and only unpack what a project needs. Before a big crafting session, count your blocks, multiply by the ingot yield, and decide whether you have enough for the armor, tools, and weapons you plan to make.
