Using the Sensor Module and Control Modules

What the Sensor Module Does

A Sensor Module attaches to a controller block — Gas Turbine controller, Steam Turbine Controller, Syngas Producer Controller, Heat Exchanger Controller, or a Mixing Chamber — and exposes that machine's internal readings to your redstone and data network. Place it on the controller face that faces your wiring.

Wiring Control Signals

Run Redstone-Iron Wiring from the Sensor Module to a Redstone Control Module on the same machine or on a downstream block. The Redstone Control Module accepts a redstone signal and gates the machine on or off. This lets a sensor reading from one block shut down another — for example, stopping a Gas Mix Compressor when a Fuel Tank is full.

Data and IO

For structured data, use a Machine Data Port on the controller. Pair it with Item Input Port and Item Output Port for solid inputs and outputs, and with Fluid Intake Valve, Fluid Output Valve, Gas Intake Valve, Pressurized Input Valve, and Pressurized Output Valve for the fluid and gas sides. A Power IO Module handles the energy connection.

Practical Loop

1. Place the Sensor Module on the controller.

2. Wire it to a Redstone Control Module with Redstone-Iron Wiring.

3. Set the control module to respond to the sensor's condition.

4. Verify with a Machine Data Port if you need to inspect values. This gives you automatic start/stop without manual intervention.
