Setting Up a Gas Turbine for Power
Mixing Fuel and Air
A Gas Turbine controller burns Syngas mixed with air. Place a Fuel/Air Mixer and connect a Fluid Intake Valve for the Syngas side and a Gas Intake Valve for the air side. The Gas Mix Compressor pressurizes the mixture before it enters the controller.
Building the Turbine Body
Surround the Gas Turbine controller with Iron Frame and Iron Tubing to form the multiblock. Use Redstone-Iron Wiring to link the controller to its valves and to a Redstone Control Module if you want on/off control. A Sensor Module placed on the controller reports its internal state so you can automate shutdowns.
Routing the Power
Attach a voltage emitter to the controller's output. Choose Low Voltage Emitter, Medium Voltage Emitter, High Voltage Emitter, Extreme Voltage Emitter, or Insane Voltage Emitter depending on how much power your grid can accept. Buffer the output in a Basic Power Capacitor, Advanced Power Capacitor, or High Density Power Capacitor so surges do not stall the turbine.
Tuning Output
If the turbine is starved, check that the Fuel/Air Mixer is receiving Syngas and that the Gas Mix Compressor has power. If it overproduces, add a Pressure Valve to throttle the feed. The Gas Turbine controller will only run while fuel, air, and a valid output path are all present.
