How to Use Power Emitters and Capacitors

Capacitor Tiers

Place a Basic Power Capacitor, Advanced Power Capacitor, or High Density Power Capacitor as your energy buffer. Each tier stores more power than the last. Upgrade an existing capacitor using a Basic Power Capacitor Upgrade Kit, Advanced Capacitor Upgrade Kit, or High Density Capacitor Upgrade Kit rather than rebuilding it.

Emitter Tiers

Attach a Low Voltage Emitter, Medium Voltage Emitter, High Voltage Emitter, Extreme Voltage Emitter, or Insane Voltage Emitter to the capacitor or generator. Each emitter tier outputs at a different voltage and rate. Match the emitter to your cable and machine voltage to avoid losses.

Wiring and IO

Connect emitters and capacitors with Redstone-Iron Wiring. Use a Power IO Module on generators and controllers to expose their power connection point. Run wiring from the Power IO Module to the capacitor, then from the capacitor through an emitter to your machines. If a machine needs to receive power, place an emitter facing it or wire directly. Use a Redstone Control Module on the capacitor or emitter to cut output when a redstone signal is applied, letting you throttle power delivery with a lever or Sensor Module.
