How to Set Up the Heat Exchanger

Controller and Structure

Place a Heat Exchanger Controller and build the Heat Exchanger multiblock around it using Iron Frame and Iron Tubing. Attach a Fluid Intake Valve for the hot input and a Fluid Output Valve for the heated output. Add a second Fluid Intake Valve if a cold coolant loop is required.

Operation

Feed hot fluid from a Steam Turbine Controller exhaust or Heating Chamber into the Heat Exchanger through the Fluid Intake Valve. The Heat Exchanger transfers heat from the hot side to the cold side. The heated output exits through the Fluid Output Valve and can be routed back to the Heating Chamber to reduce fuel consumption.

Control and Integration

Attach a Redstone Control Module to the Heat Exchanger Controller to enable or disable heat transfer. Use a Sensor Module to detect temperature or fluid presence and trigger the controller automatically. Connect the Heat Exchanger into your Steam Turbine loop: Steam Turbine Controller exhaust goes to the Heat Exchanger, the recovered heat returns to the Heating Chamber, and fresh Steam feeds back to the Steam Turbine Controller. Use a Pressure Valve or Advanced Pressure Valve on the loop to regulate flow, and a Fluid Intake Valve and Fluid Output Valve on each machine to keep the circuit closed.
