How to Configure the Sensor Module

Placement

Attach a Sensor Module to a controller block such as the Gas Turbine controller, Steam Turbine Controller, Syngas Producer Controller, or Heat Exchanger Controller. The module reads the state of the block it is mounted on and emits a redstone signal based on that state.

Wiring

Run Redstone-Iron Wiring from the Sensor Module to a Redstone Control Module on the same or another machine. The Redstone Control Module accepts the signal and toggles the machine on or off. This lets one machine's condition drive another machine's operation without manual input.

Typical Uses

Use a Sensor Module on a Fuel Tank to detect when fuel is present, then wire it to the Gas Turbine controller's Redstone Control Module so the turbine only runs when fuel is available. Use a Sensor Module on a Heating Chamber to detect steam readiness and trigger the Steam Turbine Controller. Use a Sensor Module on a Power Capacitor to detect charge level and shut down generators when the capacitor is full. Combine multiple Sensor Modules with Redstone-Iron Wiring to build a chain: fuel detection enables the mixer, mixer output enables the turbine, and capacitor charge disables the turbine when full.
