How to Build a Basic Turbine Setup

Craft the Turbine

Start with a Basic Turbine. Surround it with the required Iron Frame and Iron Tubing components from the crafting grid. The Basic Turbine is your entry point for steam or gas expansion into rotational energy.

Add the Rotor and Blades

Insert a Basic Turbine Rotor into the Basic Turbine. The rotor holds Basic Turbine Blades. Without a rotor installed, the turbine cannot spin and produces nothing.

Control and Output

Place a Steam Turbine Controller or Gas Turbine controller adjacent to the turbine, depending on your working fluid. Connect a Fluid Intake Valve to feed steam or gas in, and a Fluid Output Valve to exhaust condensate or waste gas. Attach a Low Voltage Emitter, Medium Voltage Emitter, or High Voltage Emitter to the turbine to extract power. Use a Power IO Module to route that power into a Basic Power Capacitor for buffering.

Upgrade Path

When you need more throughput, craft an Upgrade Kit and apply it. Higher tiers follow this order: Basic Turbine, then Reinforced Turbine, Composite Turbine, Enhanced Turbine, Advanced Turbine. Each tier uses its matching rotor: Reinforced Turbine Rotor, Composite Turbine Rotor, Enhanced Turbine Rotor, Advanced Turbine Rotor. Each tier also has a matching Upgrade Kit: Reinforced Turbine Upgrade Kit, Composite Turbine Upgrade Kit, Enhanced Turbine Upgrade Kit, Advanced Turbine Upgrade Kit.
