How to Build Fences, Pipes, and Ladders for Detail Work

Fences and pipes

Adorn adds two fence types: Picket Fence and Chain Link Fence. Both are shaped crafting recipes. Picket Fence suits gardens, farms, and cottage builds. Chain Link Fence suits industrial areas, warehouses, and machine rooms. Run them along paths, around animal pens, and on top of low walls. Copper Pipe comes in four oxidation stages: Copper Pipe, Exposed Copper Pipe, Weathered Copper Pipe, and Oxidized Copper Pipe. Place them along walls, ceilings, and floors as decorative plumbing. Because the four stages share the same shape, you can run a single pipe line and let it change color stage by stage for a weathered look.

Ladders and lighting

Stone Ladder is a shaped crafting recipe and works as a vertical climbable block for towers, mines, and silos. Stone Torch is a shaped crafting recipe and provides light in the same way a normal torch does, but with a stone look that fits industrial and cave builds. Stone Rod is a shaped crafting recipe and works as a thin decorative post or support strut. Combine Stone Ladder with Stone Torch lighting inside mine shafts, and use Stone Rod as a railing between Picket Fence sections. For a full industrial corridor, line the walls with Chain Link Fence, run Copper Pipe overhead, and light the space with Stone Torch. Keep a Crate of building materials nearby so you can extend the corridor without returning to storage.
