Using the Light Wand

What the Light Wand Does

The Light Wand is the mod's handheld tool for working with its light blocks. Keep it in your hotbar while building so you can place and adjust lighting without digging through your inventory for each individual fixture.

A Practical Workflow

Start by crafting the light blocks you intend to use — for example a stack of Oak AlTorch and Oak Lamp, or CobbleStone AlTorch and CobbleStone Lamp. Carry the Light Wand alongside them. Walk your build and place lights as you go, switching between the AlTorch, Lamp, Standing Torch, and Fire Pit of the same material family so the fixtures match. When you reach a spot that needs a bigger feature, place the - L version, such as CobbleStone Fire Pit - L or Gold Standing Torch - L, and use the matching Fire For block if the flame needs replacing. Because all of these blocks share the same material naming, you can decide on the fly whether a wall wants an AlTorch or a Lamp and keep the palette consistent across an entire base.
