Using Markers to Define Mining Areas

Marker Plus and Flexible Marker

Place Marker Plus blocks at the corners of the area you want a machine to work in. The Quarry Plus and similar machines read these markers to determine width and length. Use Flexible Marker when you need markers that can be placed at any height or in irregular positions. Both marker types define the boundary; the machine fills everything inside.

Chunk Marker for Large Jobs

Use a Chunk Marker when you want to mine or work on an entire chunk. Place it to mark chunk boundaries so the machine covers the full 16x16 area. This is faster than placing four corner markers by hand for large projects.

Combining Markers with Machines

After placing markers, put your Quarry Plus or Mini Quarry inside the marked area. Connect power using a Creative Generator or the Quarry Fuel Module. The machine starts at the top and works downward. If the area is too large, the Quarry may need more power or additional modules like the Faster Work Module to speed up the process. Remove markers when the job is done so they do not interfere with later builds.
