How to Set Up a Quarry Plus and Start Mining

Place and Power the Quarry

Place a Quarry Plus on the ground where you want the pit to begin. It needs energy to run. Feed it with a Creative Generator for testing, or supply it through the Quarry Fuel Module if you want it to burn fuel instead. The Quarry Creative Energy Module also works when you want unlimited power without a generator.

Define the Area and Collect Drops

Craft and place Marker Plus or Flexible Marker blocks to outline the corners of your mining zone. The Quarry Plus reads these markers to know how wide to dig. Once the area is marked and power is connected, the machine begins breaking blocks from the top down. Items are pulled into the Quarry's internal storage. Use the Quarry Debug Storage to inspect what has been collected, or attach a MiningWellPlusPipe to route items out.

Useful Add-On Modules

Install a Quarry Pump Module to clear liquids from the pit as it digs. Add a Quarry Torch Module so the machine places torches and keeps the area lit. Use the Quarry Exp Collect Module to gather experience from ores. The Remove Bedrock Module lets the Quarry break bedrock layers. Adjust the mining depth with the Quarry Y Setter. For a smaller job, swap the Quarry Plus for a Mini Quarry.
