How to Match Bars to Your Build's Wood Type

Pick the variant that matches your planks

Each wooden bar variant corresponds to a wood type: Oak Bars, Spruce Bars, Birch Bars, Jungle Bars, Acacia Bars, Dark Oak Bars, Mangrove Bars, Cherry Bars, Pale Oak Bars, Crimson Bars, and Warped Bars. Craft each from its matching planks. If your build uses Spruce Planks, use Spruce Bars; if it uses Crimson Planks, use Crimson Bars.

Mixing variants deliberately

• Use one variant throughout for a clean, unified look.
• Use a darker variant for railings and a lighter one for windows to create depth.
• Pair wooden bars with Iron Bars or Copper Bars for a framed, industrial feel.
• Use Crimson Bars and Warped Bars in Nether builds where overworld woods would look out of place.

Nether and specialty woods

Crimson Bars and Warped Bars are crafted from their respective planks. They suit crimson forest and warped forest builds, and they also work as unusual accents in overworld builds. Cherry Bars and Pale Oak Bars give a lighter, softer tone for gardens and cottages.

Practical workflow

Before building, decide the wood type, craft a stack of matching bars, and keep them in your inventory. If you change your mind mid-build, craft the new variant from the same planks you already have.
