How to Craft Oak Bars and Other Wooden Bars

Crafting the basic wooden bars

Oak Bars are made from a crafting recipe using Oak Planks. Place the planks in the pattern the recipe shows in your crafting grid to produce Oak Bars. Once you have Oak Bars, you can use the same approach for the other wooden variants: Acacia Bars, Birch Bars, Cherry Bars, Crimson Bars, Dark Oak Bars, Jungle Bars, Mangrove Bars, Pale Oak Bars, Spruce Bars, and Warped Bars. Each one is crafted from its matching wood planks.

Using wooden bars in builds

Wooden bars work like fences and iron bars for blocking movement while staying see-through. Use them for windows, railings, balconies, animal pens, and decorative dividers. Because each wood type matches its planks, you can keep a build's palette consistent: Spruce Bars for a cabin, Warped Bars for a Nether-themed room, Crimson Bars for a crimson forest outpost.

Practical tips

• Craft a stack at a time; bars are cheap and you will use more than you expect.
• Mix wood types in one build for contrast, or match them exactly for a clean look.
• Wooden bars connect to adjacent bars and many other blocks, so plan corners before placing.
• Keep a few of each variant in a chest near a build site to avoid trips back to the crafting table.
