Crafting Copper Bars

Copper Bars are crafted from Copper Ingots using a crafting recipe. Gather copper ingots from mining copper ore and smelting the raw copper, then craft them into Copper Bars at a crafting table.

The four oxidation stages

Copper Bars exist in four stages: Copper Bars, Exposed Copper Bars, Weathered Copper Bars, and Oxidized Copper Bars. Newly crafted bars start as Copper Bars. Over time they oxidize through each stage in order.

Controlling the look

To keep Copper Bars bright, place them and maintain them before they advance a stage.
To speed up oxidation, leave them exposed to the weather and avoid waxing them.
To lock a stage in place, apply honeycomb to the bars so they stop changing.
Use the four stages together for a gradient effect on roofs, fences, and decorative panels.

Copper Bars suit steampunk, industrial, and nautical builds. Combine Exposed Copper Bars with Weathered Copper Bars on a dock, or use Oxidized Copper Bars as a green accent against stone and deepslate.
