How to Craft a Banner Pattern in the Additional Banners Mod

Every banner pattern in this mod is made with a shaped crafting recipe. The 25 patterns are: Anchor Banner Pattern, Balance Banner Pattern, Chain Banner Pattern, Dragon Banner Pattern, Frame Banner Pattern, Grass Banner Pattern, Hex Banner Pattern, Kelp Banner Pattern, Moon Banner Pattern, Mushroom Banner Pattern, Phantom Banner Pattern, Prismarine Banner Pattern, Pumpkin Banner Pattern, Scales Banner Pattern, Shield Banner Pattern, Snowflake Banner Pattern, Spider Banner Pattern, Squares Banner Pattern, Squid Banner Pattern, Starburst Banner Pattern, Steps Banner Pattern, Suit Banner Pattern, Sword Banner Pattern, Trident Banner Pattern, and Waterfall Banner Pattern.

Craft and Apply

Open the crafting grid and arrange the ingredients for the pattern you want in the shape the recipe requires. The result is the banner pattern item itself, which you then combine with a banner and dye at a loom to stamp the design onto the fabric.

Because all 25 patterns use shaped recipes, the layout of ingredients matters — a different arrangement produces a different pattern. If a recipe isn't producing the pattern you expect, check that each ingredient sits in the exact slot the recipe calls for.

Once you have the pattern item, keep it: patterns are reusable. You can apply the same Anchor Banner Pattern, Sword Banner Pattern, or any other to as many banners as you like, using different dyes for different colors. Stockpile the patterns you use most so you never have to re-craft them mid-build.
