See Open and Closed Models for Barrels and Stonecutters

Place a Barrel

Craft or find a Barrel block and place it in your world. The closed model shows a sealed wooden container with raised details on its surface.

Open the Barrel

Right-click the Barrel to open it. The 3D model instantly updates to show an open lid tilted back, revealing the interior storage space. The raised wooden frame and hinges become more visible from this angle.

Examine the Stonecutter

Place a Stonecutter nearby and look at its top surface. You'll see a raised 3D saw blade with depth and shadow detail. The blade appears to sit above the cutting surface, giving the block a more functional appearance than the flat vanilla version.

Compare States

Close the Barrel by clicking it again—the lid model returns to its sealed position. These visual state changes make storage and crafting blocks feel more interactive and alive, even though the mechanics remain unchanged.
