View the Interior of Your Furnace While It's Smelting
Position Your Viewpoint
The 3D model reveals the furnace's hollow interior and animated flames, but you need the right angle to see them. Stand to the side or slightly above your furnace rather than directly in front. This lets you peer into the inset front grate and observe the fire animation inside.
Watch the Fire Animate
Once you've placed fuel and raw materials into the furnace, the internal fire textures will begin to animate. The flames flicker and glow realistically within the chamber. This animation only plays while the furnace is actively smelting—once the process completes, the flames stop.
Compare Furnace Types
Each smelting station has a distinct visual design:
- Furnaces show a simple grated opening
- Blast Furnaces display reinforced metal plating around the interior
- Smokers feature a vented wooden frame
Move around each block to appreciate the full 3D geometry and see how the models differ from the flat vanilla appearance.
