Enable Enhanced Night Vision

AbsulutCinema includes a built-in night vision enhancement that brightens dark areas without requiring potions. Access Shader Options and locate the night vision or darkness adjustment setting.

Adjust Darkness Levels

Increase the night vision strength to make caves and dark forests more visible. The shader brightens shadows and underground areas while maintaining contrast, so you won't lose depth perception.

Combine with Game Brightness

For maximum effect, also adjust your in-game Brightness slider in Video Settings. A moderate brightness combined with shader night vision gives the clearest underground visibility without washing out colors.

Place Strategic Lighting

While the shader improves darkness, placing torches or lanterns still helps—they create focal points and look better with AbsulutCinema's bloom effect. This combination gives you both practical visibility and atmospheric lighting.

Test Your Setup

Descend into a deep cave and explore. If visibility feels too dark, increase settings further. If everything looks washed out, reduce night vision slightly to find your balance.
