The stonecutter is the fastest way to produce stone-family variants. Feed a full block into the stonecutter and select the slab, stair, or wall output. Supported stone-family materials include Basalt, Blackstone, Blackstone Brick, Calcite, Clay, Coal, Chiseled Tuff, Chiseled Tuff Bricks, Andesite, and Bricks Cracked. Step by Step

Place the stonecutter on a solid block. Right-click it to open the interface. Put your full block in the input slot. Scroll the output list and click the variant you want. Take the result from the output slot. Repeat with the same input to produce as many pieces as you need.

Why Use It

Stonecutting returns exact counts and avoids leftover blocks. For large builds, cut slabs first, then stairs, then walls from the same stack of blocks to keep your palette consistent.
