How to Craft Walls and Fences for Logs and Planks

Log fences and log walls

Log-based blocks have their own fence and wall variants. Acacia Log Fence, Birch Log Fence, and Cherry Log Fence are crafted from the matching log. Acacia Log Wall, Birch Log Wall, Cherry Log Wall, and Cherry Stripped Log Wall are crafted from the matching log or stripped log. Use these when you want a rustic boundary that still reads as a full log rather than a plank.

Plank walls

Plank walls are separate from log walls. Acacia Planks Wall, Birch Planks Wall, Bamboo Planks Wall, and Cherry Planks Wall are crafted from the corresponding planks. Bamboo Mosaic Wall is crafted from Bamboo Mosaic. These are thinner than a full block and connect to neighboring walls, so they work well as dividers, railings, and low garden edges.

Fence gates and trapdoors

Fence gates and trapdoors exist for several stone and brick families. Blackstone Brick Fence Gate, Brick Fence Gate, and Basalt Gate are the gate options. Blackstone Brick Trapdoor, Blackstone Trapdoor, Brick Trapdoor, Amethyst Trapdoor, Andesite Trapdoor, and Basalt Trapdoor are the trapdoor options. Craft each from its base material in the crafting grid.

Build a matching perimeter

Pick one wood type, craft its log fence and plank wall, then add a gate from a stone family for the entrance. Keep the same material on the gate and trapdoor so the transition between fence line and doorway stays consistent.
